Bantaray Uses After Effects to Build Firebirds Animations for Their Season Opener
Firebirds Logo converted to a 3D file for use in animating transitions for the NBC Broadcasts
As part of our ongoing collaboration with the Coachella Valley Firebirds, Bantaray has been hard at work creating dynamic motion graphics and animations to enhance the team’s season opener broadcast. Using Adobe After Effects, we designed and developed custom animations that brought a fresh, energetic feel to the Firebirds' broadcasts, including their highly anticipated season opener.
Bantaray built an NBC logo transition for the Coachella Valley Firebirds
From intro animations to in-game graphics, every element was tailored to reflect the team’s identity, with stunning visuals that help set the tone for an exciting hockey season. We developed animations for key segments such as player introductions, team branding, and a unique Kraken Korner animation, which has become a fan favorite.
After Effects allowed us to seamlessly incorporate 3D animation and motion design, ensuring that the Firebirds' graphics stand out on-screen with cutting-edge effects. Each animation was crafted to not only engage the audience but also complement the high-energy action on the ice, giving the broadcast a polished and professional look.

One of the standout features of Element 3D is how it streamlines the process of creating 3D content. This powerful plugin allows us to take a vector image—such as the Firebirds' logo—and directly copy the paths of the logo. With Element 3D, we can break the logo apart, re-create it in 3D space, and then texture and animate it with ease. This enables us to give the Firebirds' branding an exciting and dynamic feel that pops on screen.
The ability to take 2D assets and turn them into fully animated 3D visuals adds a layer of depth and professionalism to the broadcast, making every segment feel engaging and dynamic. Whether it's during the season opener or for in-game transitions, Element 3D has made creating animations fast, intuitive, and incredibly high quality.
